Description

Ceratostigma willmottianum is an absolute beauty, coming into flower in late June with dense terminal clusters of iridescent blue flowers. Commonly known as Chinese Plumbago it’s another hardy perennial that grows up to 1 meter tall with beautiful colour changing leaves later in the season.

It likes to live in a sunny spot but is equally happy in partial shade, which is exactly where I keep mine. The plant is deciduous but the little seed heads remain throughout the colder months making it a delight all year round.
